With 15 000 students, a rich training offer and 19 research laboratories, Savoie Mont Blanc University is a human-sized institution that combines proximity with its territories, membership of the PRES University of Grenoble and a wide opening on the Europe and the world.

Between Geneva, Turin, Lyon and Grenoble, on the borders of Switzerland and Italy, it is a regional, regional and cross-border actor, a major player in social, economic and cultural development.

The Savoie Mont Blanc University has forged close and constructive links with local and regional socio-economic actors and beyond, which make it an essential element of Rhône-Alpes dynamics, in particular that of competitiveness clusters.

The research is carried out by recognized laboratories, labeled and distinguished, actors in close partnerships with major organizations (CNRS, CEA, INRA), international organizations (CERN) or other structures (INES, Institut de la Montagne) the edge of innovation. Our researchers are strongly involved in a number of areas that support territorial dynamics: mountain, mechatronics, the sectors of organizations, tourism, image and energy.
